It may look like City Hall is closed, but we are open! There is an extensive amount of construction going on in and around City Hall and it can be difficult to find your way inside.

South Lincoln is currently closed while contractors replace concrete in the south City Hall parking lot entrance. In addition, the south City Hall entrance is being repaved and the new parking lot is being paved.

Unfortunately, this will not end soon. Once the new concrete is cured (about a week), we will replace the concrete on the north parking lot entrance and the road will be closed again.

Once you are inside City Hall, you may have some difficulty finding your way. The second-floor counter is being replaced, so the Community Development counter is temporarily on the first floor.

Meanwhile, the City Council Chambers are still under construction for security improvements. We are still waiting for glass to be delivered to finish the Council Chambers and the first and second floor counters.

This is the first significant construction on City Hall since it opened in 1999. The improvements will make City Hall safer for employees and residents and the expanded parking lot will be more convenient for City Hall customers and for downtown visitors.

Pardon our dust and we appreciate your patience while we make these needed improvements. Both the interior and parking lot projects should be complete by early August.
