CDC Conducting Survey in O’Fallon May 2 – June 29

NEWS FROM O’FALLON CITY HALL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

O’Fallon, Illinois – The City of O’Fallon has been selected to participate in a National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey which will be conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics, part of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The survey will be conducted May 2, 2016 – June 29, 2016. Interviewers will be knocking on doors of the randomly selected households where they will conduct a brief questionnaire at the doorstep.

“The National Center for Health Statistics will sample approximately 492 people throughout St. Clair County to participate in this survey,” said Mayor Gary L. Graham. “All interviewers who approach O’Fallon residents will carry official CDC identification.”  

The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey has been successfully conducted for over 55 years and has provided the CDC with current and vital data on health conditions and concerns in the country. This survey is a federally funded national effort with significant influence on health policy across the nation.
