O’Fallon, Illinois At the October 2, 2017 City Council Meeting, Mayor Herb Roach and the City Council issued a Proclamation declaring the first week of October, 2017 as St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Parish Week in O’Fallon and urge all residents to recognize the important contributions that St. Clare has made to the O’Fallon community.

“St. Clare Catholic Church was founded in O’Fallon, 150 years ago, in 1867, to serve the needs of our Catholic Community and citizens of O’Fallon,” said Mayor Herb Roach. “St. Clare has fostered the growth of the Catholic Faith in O’Fallon from its beginnings in 1867 with 40 members in a church of less than 1,500 square feet to now over 3,100 members in a structure that stands tall on the skyline and has seen the development of a second Catholic parish (St. Nicholas) in O’Fallon.”
