There has been a lot of good news coming out of O’Fallon recently. Over the past few weeks, O’Fallon’s success has been highlighted in multiple newspapers and magazines. We attempt to share any good news that we can on our Facebook page or Economic Development website, www.ofallonillinois.org. Let me share with you a summary of the good news!

O’Fallon’s Front Door Eyed as Next Generation of Economic Expansion: This article from the Illinois Business Journal discussed the future of the area north of Scott Air Force Base, between Interstate 64 Exit 19 & Exit 21. O’Fallon Leads the Way in Hotel Growth & Economic Development: The Belleville News Democrat published an article that focused on the growth of the hotel industry in O’Fallon. The Destination O’Fallon initiative, along with new developments like HSHS-St. Elizabeth’s Medical Campus and the McKendree Metro RecPlex have led to the construction of new hotels in O’Fallon. St. Elizabeth’s Will Join With Physicians Group to Open a Full-Service Cancer Center: The Belleville News Democrat published another article about O’Fallon’s growth. This article highlighted the new medical building that was recently approved to be built next to HSHS-St. Elizabeth’s Medical Campus. The new 30,000 square-foot building at 301 Regency Park will be a new radiation oncology clinic. As you can see, there has been a streak of good news lately. In addition to the projects included in the articles above, there are a number of large projects currently going through the approval process. These include a new 26-acre senior living facility on Seven Hills Road and a 244-townhome residential development near the McKendree Metro RecPlex.
