2024/02/27 - Mayor's Column: Stay Informed with Our Postings

“AN OPEN DOOR TO O’FALLON”
A WEEKLY NOTE FROM MAYOR HERB ROACH

Several times, I have had people say that they read the weekly article that I write and like to know about what is happening in the City.

These articles are intended to serve two purposes: One is to let you know about things happening that are major items or things happening behind the scenes that you may not be aware of unless it impacts you or your neighborhood.

The second reason for the articles is so that you can give us feedback if you desire to do so on things going on in the city.

If you don’t know about what is going on or why, then it is impossible to give any feedback. Constructive feedback is important to keeping things moving forward and in the proper way.

That is why we have in the city tried to improve in the different ways and frequency that we put out information /notices on things happening in your city. This includes my articles, earlier postings, additional ways of being notified, frequency for input in meetings, the improved broadcast of Council meetings and now Committee meetings, new signage at City Hall and more.

Even though not all changes that are suggested are made exactly the way some would like, many of the plans have been modified or changed over the years based on the constructive feedback that the city has received.

If you want to know how to sign up to receive more information from the City, you can subscribe to many of our postings and newsletters at https://www.ofallon.org/subscribe.

As residents of O’Fallon, you should always be able to reach out to your elected officials and ask questions about what is happening in O’Fallon. Having open communications is important to me and something I care very deeply about. Thank you for reading, and please remember, my door is always open.
