Mechanical Permit | Is required when mechanical work only is being done. If other work is being done, then a building permit will cover the work. |
Is required when only electrical work is being performed. This can include an upgrade of the service, replacing, updating wiring, or solar installation without structural changes. If other work is performed in addition to electrical work, a building permit will be required. | |
Is required when plumbing work only is being done. If other work is being done, then a building permit will cover the work. | |
Is required when a larger structure is demolished which has infrastructure/utility connections. | |
Required when erecting, expanding, altering, relocating, or reconstructing a sign. Permanent signs (both wall and freestanding) require a sign permit from Planning & Zoning. | |
Required when placing temporary signage. | |
A Commercial Occupancy Permit is required any time there is a change of occupancy or ownership of an existing commercial location if there has not been an inspection within the last 24 months. The property owner must schedule an appointment with the City to inspect the facility and ensure that no safety or sanitary hazards exist according to the City Property Maintenance Codes. Locations with automatic fire suppression systems including fire suppression hood systems require annual inspections regardless of change of occupancy or ownership. | |
