Pamala L. Funk, Assistant City Administrator Bio

Pam Funk received both her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and her Masters of Business Administration degrees from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Ms. Funk was hired as the City’s first Assistant to the City Administrator in November 2001. Her responsibilities include the management of all City communications and public relations including press releases, the City Quarterly, the City website and the City’s governmental access station, Channel 10. She is also responsible for planning special events.
Prior to her appointment in O’Fallon, Ms. Funk worked for The Center for Organizational Research and Development at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where she was involved with a variety of applied research projects including survey research, organizational development and strategic planning, structural/operational analysis, employment training, recruitment and career development, and human resource planning. She has worked extensively with Police Departments on a variety of organizational development and career enhancement initiatives including strategic planning and team building, and facilitation of executive retreat sessions for senior and middle management police officers. Prior to this, her employment experience includes administration of human resources and financial management both within the University system and in the corporate/private sector.
Ms. Funk is a current member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA).
