Background / Order of Business

Background
The City Council meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. The regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. is televised live on Cable Access Charter Ch. 993 and AT&T U-Verse Ch. 99.

All meetings of the Council shall be open to the public in accordance with the State "Open Meetings Law." However, a closed or executive session may be held to discuss legal actions, causes of legal action or litigations, leasing, purchasing or sale of real estate, hiring, firing, disciplining, promotion of personnel, or employee labor relations.

Order of Business
The Mayor shall take the chair at the hour appointed for the Council meeting and call the meeting to order. The business of the Council is normally taken up for consideration and disposition in the following order:

4. Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting or Meetings
5. Public Hearings (if needed)
6. Residents of O’Fallon(Appearances by citizens before the Council)

11 Ordinances for 2nd Reading

13 Executive Session
14 Action Taken on Executive Session Items
