Aggravated Battery to a School Employee and Police Officer
Antwan Douglas

On Saturday August 19th, 2023, The St. Clair County States Attorney’s Office issued the following charges against Antwan Douglas, 18 years old of Cahokia Heights:

  • Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer (Class 2 Felony)
  • Aggravated Battery to School Employee (Class 3 Felony)
  • Aggravated Assault of a Police Officer (Class 4 Felony)
  • Resisting a Police Officer (Class A Misdemeanor)

These charges stem from an incident which occurred at the end of the O’Fallon Township High School Blue/Gold football game on Friday August 18, 2023.  Douglas was denied entry into the stadium by a school employee and subsequently pushed the employee about the neck.  While being taken into custody, he actively resisted arrest and punched an O’Fallon Police Officer in the head multiple times and attempted to strike another.

St. Clair County Judge Clay issued a warrant of arrest and set bail at $65,000.  Douglas was remanded to the custody of the St. Clair County Jail pending further court hearings.
