Arrest made in Los Amigos restaurant burglary

On Sunday, June 18, 2023 the O'Fallon Police Department began an investigation into a burglary which occurred overnight at the Los Amigos restaurant, located at 950 Talon Drive. Officers conducted a canvass and found surveillance footage of the suspect and his vehicle in the area during the time of the burglary. 

The footage was disseminated through social media outlets which led to the identification of, 30 year old, Nicholas P. Jimenez. On Tuesday afternoon, Nicholas was located and taken into custody at his Belleville residence.  

Yesterday, the case was presented to the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office. Nicholas was charged with one count of Burglary, a class 2 felony. Nicholas was transported to the St. Clair County Jail where he is being held on a $75,000.00 bond.
