Arrest Made in Pool Damage Case

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant charging, 36-year-old, Ryan D. Martin, of Ballwin, MO. with one felony count of Criminal Damage to Property for his involvement in damaging the pool last July. He was also charged with one misdemeanor count of Criminal Damage to Property which stemmed from another incident where the same victim’s vehicle was damaged while parked in Fairview Heights a few days following the pool damage. Due to the combined circumstances of these two incidents, Ryan was charged with two felony counts of stalking.

During our investigation, we learned of a separate but related incident which occurred in O’Fallon during mid-October. As the result of that investigation, Ryan was also charged by the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office with an additional felony count of Stalking and one felony count of Robbery.  The victim in this case is an acquaintance of the victim in the pool damage.  We are confident these acts were not random.

Ryan was taken into custody on Monday in St. Louis, MO. He is currently being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center pending extradition to St. Clair County for further court proceedings.
