Attempted Homicide Charges

On Wednesday October 23, 2019 the O’Fallon Police Department responded to 1713 W. Hwy 50 O’Fallon, IL 62269 for a reported attempted homicide.  Responding officers investigated the report and determined it stemmed from a domestic incident at that location.  The suspect, Eric Harrington, was still on scene and was taken into custody without incident.

Today the case was presented to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office and the following charges were issued against Harrington:  Attempted Murder, Aggravated Domestic Battery, and Interfering with Reporting Domestic Violence.  Harrington’s bond was set at $200,000.00.

The victim in the case was treated at a local hospital and later released.  The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
