Andrew Porter

On Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 the St. Clair County State’s Attorneys Office issued the following charges against Andrew Porter, 26 years old, of St. Louis, MO:

Aggravated Battery (Discharging of a Firearm); a Class X Felony;

Two counts of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm (Into an Occupied Building); a Class 1 Felony;

Possession of a Stolen Firearm; a Class 2 Felony;

Felon in Possession of a Firearm; a Class 3 Felony;

Aggravated Fleeing/Eluding Police; a Class 4 Felony.

20th Circuit Judge Hon. Robert Haida issued an arrest warrant for Porter, setting a bond of $250,000. Porter remains in custody in St. Louis, MO pending extradition procedures.

These charges stem from a reported shooting in the 100 block of Atlantic Dr in O’Fallon that occurred yesterday, February 8th, 2021 at approximately 3:00 PM.  The victim was an occupant of the residence that was intentionally shot into by the suspect. The investigation revealed that this was not a random occurrence.  The crime appears to be the result of a feud between the suspect and a family member of the victim over a vehicle sale.

The victim in this case was shot in the lower leg.  He was treated at a hospital and has been released.
