Charges Issued in O'Fallon Walmart Shooting Incident

On Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at about 10:30pm, O'Fallon Police Officers, responded to Walmart following a report of shots fired on the parking lot.

Officers arrived on-scene where they determined a physical altercation occurred between several acquaintances on the parking lot. During the altercation, one of the individuals fired multiple shots at an involved vehicle as it was leaving the area.

As result of the investigation, 25-year-old, Raphael Madison, Jr., of E. St. Louis, and 27-year-old, Marquis B. Hayes, of Belleville, were taken into custody for their involvement.

Today, the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office charged Raphael with one (Class 3 Felony) count of Aggravated Battery in a Public Place. Raphael's bond was set at $50,000. Marquis was charged with one (Class 1 Felony) count of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm at an Occupied Vehicle. Marquis' bond was set at $100,000.

Both were transported and are currently being held in the St. Clair County Jail.

There were no injuries as result of this incident.
