Delivery Driver Arrested in Wallet Theft Case

Through the combined efforts of Amazon and social media responses, the delivery driver in this investigation was identified as, 23 year old, Tory J. Hoskins.

Last Thursday, Tory was located and taken into custody at his residence in Belleville, IL. The stolen wallet, several items fraudulently purchased with the victim’s credit cards, and a firearm were recovered following his arrest.

Detective Ben Callahan presented the case to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office.  Tory was charged with:

1)  Unlawful Use of Credit Card - Felony

2) Theft of Mislaid Property - Misdemeanor

3) Possession of Firearm without a FOID card - Misdemeanor

Tory’s bond was set at $15,000.00. Tory was transported to the St. Clair County Jail where he later posted bond and was released pending his court date.
