Home Invasion Suspects Charged

On Tuesday February 12, 2019 at 2:39 PM, O’Fallon Police responded to the 600 block of White Oak in O’Fallon for a report of a home invasion involving a firearm. O’Fallon officers were immediately able to locate one suspect leaving the scene in a vehicle.  A stop was conducted, and one suspect was taken into custody without incident.  The second suspect was located a short while later and he was also taken into custody without incident.  The third suspect was identified and arrested on 02-13-19.  The firearm used in this incident has been located and secured into evidence at the O’Fallon Police Department.  

There were no injuries reported by the victims in this case.   Although we cannot verify the relationship between the victim and the suspects, we do not believe this crime was a random act of violence. 

On Thursday February 14, 2019 the St Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged the following individuals:

- Montrail L Clay, 20-year-old male from O’Fallon, IL with one count of Home Invasion with a Firearm, a Class              X Felony.  Clay’s bond was set at $500,000.

- Demario D. Reynolds Jr, 18-year-old male from Cahokia, IL with one count of Home Invasion with a Firearm, a Class X Felony.  Reynold’s bond was set at $500,000.

- Marcus F. Johnson Jr., 19-year-old male from Fairview Heights, IL with one count of Home Invasion with a Firearm, a Class X Felony.  Johnson’s bond was set at $500,000.

All three were arraigned and remanded to the St. Clair County Jail.
