O'Fallon Police arrest Damiensville man for Criminal Sexual Abuse
On March 26, 2019 the O'Fallon Police Department arrested Paul L. Jansen (23 years of age) from Damiensville, IL. Jansen's arrest stemmed from a parental complaint about inappropriate contact made by Jansen to a juvenile via social media.
The O'Fallon Police Department's investigation resulted in the St. Clair County State's Attorney's office issuing the following charges:
- Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (3 counts)
- Traveling to meet a Minor (3 counts)
- Grooming (1 count)
- Indecent Solicitation of a Child (1 count)
Jansen's bail was set at $200,000.00 and he was remanded to the custody of St. Clair County Jail.
The O'Fallon Police Department is continuing to investigates Jansen's past activity. We want to remind parents to monitor their children's social media activity. If you suspect a crime may have been committed, contact your local police department immediately.
Jansen is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
