O'Fallon Police hosting Rape Agression Defense Class for Women

The O'Fallon Police Department will be hosting a Rape Aggression Defense Class (R.A.D.) for women ages 16 and up this April.

The Rape Aggression Defense Basic Personal Defense System is a national program of realistic self-defense and techniques taught for women only.  RAD is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive self-defense course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defensive training.

RAD is not a martial arts program. Our courses are taught by certified instructors and provide you with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire physical defense program for referenece and continuous personal growth.  The Rape Aggression Defense System is dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assaults by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics. Our system of realistic defense will provide a woman with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance.

The RAD class is 12 hours of instruction broken up into 3 hour blocks.  This class will be held at the O'Fallon Police Department on April 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th from 6PM-9PM.  Registration is required and Class sizes are limited to 20 participants.
