OPD Responds to Shooting Incident

On Monday, September 18th at about 9:00pm, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of Countryside Lane due to a report of gunshots heard in the area.

Responding Officers learned two 17-year-old male juveniles had been sitting in a vehicle parked along the roadway when two unknown suspects approached and fired several gunshots into the vehicle. One of the juveniles was struck in the foot. The second juvenile was not injured. The suspects fled the area prior to officer arrival.

The injured juvenile drove himself to a hospital where he was treated and released.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear however the juveniles appear to have been specifically targeted.
