Press Release Residential Burglary

On April 21, 2020 at approximately 2:41 AM the O’Fallon Police Department responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Deer Creek and Schwarz Meadow Rd.  A description of a suspect vehicle and direction of travel was provided, and responding officers were able to quickly locate and identify the vehicle, as it left the area.  Patrol officers conducted a vehicle stop on the suspect vehicle and took the three occupants of the vehicle into custody.

Additional investigation revealed the three suspects had unlawfully entered a residence in the 1200 block of Bossler Rd.  While at the residence, the suspects confronted an occupant of the home, which ultimately resulted in several shots being fired.  No injuries were reported as a result of this incident and nobody was struck by any gun fire.  The investigation revealed the suspects had specifically targeted the home in question due to an ongoing personal issue with the resident.

The case was subsequently reviewed by the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office and the below charges were issued against the three suspects:

Deonne K. Pettigrew (21 YOA) Cahokia, IL – Residential Burglary and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm

Tony D. Collins (23 YOA) Ft. Campbell, KY – Residential Burglary and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Timothy J. Prowl (24 YOA) Ft. Campbell, KY – Residential Burglary and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Bond was set at $100,000.00 on each suspect and they remain in custody.  No additional information will be released on the case at this time, as the investigation is on-going.
