Reckless Discharge of Firearm

On Friday, April 9th, 2021 at about 10:54am, the O’Fallon Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 200 block of Estate Drive.  Responding officers determined a black male driving a white Chevrolet Trailblazer stopped in the roadway and fired multiple gunshots from the vehicle into a vacant apartment building.  The driver fled the area prior to officer arrival.

An investigation into the incident led to the arrest of 28 year old, Kareem MJ. Stone, who was taken into custody in the 300 block of S. 27th Street in E. St. Louis, later that day.

On Monday afternoon, the case was presented to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office and the below charges were issued against Stone:

1) Manufacture/Delivery 1>15 grams of cocaine

2) Possession of Cannabis 500<2,000 grams

3) Felon in Possession of a Firearm

4) Reckless Discharge of a Firearm

Stone’s bond was set at $75,000.00.   He is currently in the custody of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department. 

This was an isolated incident, which occurred due to an ongoing dispute.  We appreciate the cooperation of the community members who assisted us with bringing this case to a quick resolution.  There were no injuries sustained during this incident.
